Internship Description:
We offer a summer internship for students eager to gain hands-on experience in retail and manufacturing. This role involves significant responsibilities in inventory control and supplemental sales support, providing a foundational understanding of retail operations.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Assist in organizing the stock room, tagging new merchandise, accurately pricing items, and preparing them for sale.
- Stock Maintenance: Perform stock checks, update inventory records, and ensure the sales floor is well-stocked and orderly.
- Sales Support: Help on the sales floor during peak hours by greeting and interacting with customers and setting up promotional displays
- Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions to learn about retail operations and customer service excellence
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive work environment. Share insights and strategies to enhance overall performance.
Must Have
- Positive attitude and a readiness to learn about the retail industry.
- Good organizational skills for managing inventory and store order.
- Clear communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
- Dependability in attending shifts and completing tasks.
- Must have been enrolled in a high school within the current calendar year
Nice to have
- No previous work experience required.
- Initiative in seeking learning opportunities and asking questions.
- Basic proficiency with computers for data entry and other tasks.
- Flexibility in role and willingness to help where needed.
